The low cost buggy whip maker is doing fine Skeeter. As a matter of fact, they make a lot of other tack as well. From bridles to saddles, and a lot of other products to boot. <serious> Fortunately the capital investment is buggy whips manufacturing is low. But if you prefer a hand wound feel, and perhaps more carefully balanced whips, then there are hundreds of individuals that make them, if you go to driving competitions you will usually find one there.
