To all, California State law requires background checks for community care licensees, facility employees, certified administrators, license exempt subsidized child care providers, and anyone who resides in the licensed facility who is not a client. The California Department of Social Services, in partnership with Sylvan/Identix Fingerprinting Centers, is now offering Live Scan fingerprinting services. This service is available by appointment at most Community Care Licensing District Offices and other convenient locations throughout California. There will be a Live Scan cost of $14 which may be less than other commercially available fingerprinting services.
