I can't understand EBAY or any other Internet auction houses would be a bit upset over Amazon.Com getting involved in the auction business on the Internet. There was a report some time ago - it may have been the CNN TV EBAY interview, I'm not sure - but one thing I remember is, they were saying in the United States auctions, garage sales, flea market, classified ads, etc. was valued at US$100 billion business. So what slice of that $100 billion did EBAY take in 1998? Wasn't their revenue only US$47 million? (Cdn.$70 million). Their percentage cut of that US$100 billion is insignificant and there's room for a lot more than Amazon.Com., and that's just in the USA what about Europe and Asia.????
