DT, Look at GuardDog and see if they have a cheapie firewall. Their product is good, otherwise, for any internet protection. I saw an article about this in INFOWORLD just about a month ago, but don't remember the issue number, sorry.

Day Trader, I have RoadRunner at home. The technology is great. The bottleneck now is not the pipe itself, rather it is the site. In other words, you have the capacity to download at high speed, however, if the ISP where the site that you are accessing is slow, you will not get the benefit of cable modem. Silicon Investor, for instance, is extremely slow in the evening hours (EASTERN). On the other hand, I have tried downloading files from MSFT, disney... and the download just flew. When surfing slow sites, I typically open two or three browsers and surf multiple sites concurrently. Ahmad
