Epic appoints new president

Epic Oil and Gas Ltd EAS
Shares issued 15,743,706 Mar 30 close $0.22
Wed 31 Mar 99 News Release
Ms. Val Donovan reports
Effective immediately, Bob Curr will take over the position of president.
The vote was unanimous by the directors in support of Mr. Curr.
The board has determined that the projects under way in Washington state
and Alberta require an individual with a strong oil and gas background in
order to deal effectively with technical matters and negotiations with
potential joint venture partners. During the past few months, oil and gas
majors have been viewing both these projects seriously. The company expects
some positive developments during the second and third quarter.
Mr. Curr has been involved in the oil and gas industry as a petroleum
geologist for the past 30 years, working with many of the foremost
international companies in the petroleum field. More importantly, he has
had hands on involvement in the company's two core projects in Washington
state and Alberta for the past 15 years. He has been involved from working
with the drilling crews to negotiating attractive joint venture agreements
with major oil companies.
Frank Donis will remain as a director and chairman, and will continue to
assist Mr. Curr with the administration and raising of capital as required.
