These problems have happened to me, too, and restarting doesn't necessarily solve it. I'm on cable modem, and nothing has changed except that version "upgrade" you mentioned.

Looks like MBT has a verified problem (and it's not on the customer end). Hope they can solve it.

For those with microsoft networking turned on.
If you log off and log back on, you can accomplish the same thing rather quickly.

It seems to clear everything so you can log back on to MBT. This is much quicker than rebooting.
