Zones(TM) Selected as an Amazon.com Auctions Charter Merchant

RENTON, Wash., March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Multiple Zones (Zones(TM)) (Nasdaq: MZON), is one of the first companies selected to be a charter merchant in Amazon.com Auctions, the new shopping service from Amazon.com (Nasdaq: AMZN), the No. 1 online video, music, and book retailer. With almost 8 million customers, Amazon.com is the premier destination for Zones to reach qualified and experienced online shoppers and have auctions featured across millions of Amazon.com's pages.

"Our presence in Amazon.com Auctions is a win for Zones.com customers," said Phil Lalji, CEO of Zones. "This is a very powerful tool, a storefront that reaches millions of Amazon.com's e-commerce friendly customers worldwide."

Amazon.com Auctions is a customer-friendly destination for shoppers. Zones will benefit from special advertising opportunities on the Amazon.com Auctions home and category pages and from a variety of management tools. Because of Amazon.com's familiar design and easy-to-use features, buyers will enjoy the very best online auction experience.

"Zones played a key role in the development of our online auction marketplace," said Jeff Blackburn, director of merchant services at Amazon.com. "With the help of Zones and other merchants, we are driving to reach our goal of allowing customers to find, discover, and buy any products they want at Amazon.com."

Zones, a direct marketer of Wintel and Mac based computer products, announced last week that it has launched its new strategy aligning all of its marketing vehicles behind two brands, Zones.com(TM) and Zones Business Solutions(TM). Zones.com, an e-commerce driven technology portal dedicated to the individual consumer and SOHO customer, leverages the company's traditional marketing efforts together with new e-vehicles behind its growing e-commerce business. At that time, Zones also announced the launch of customized Web stores for its largest business customers, and a new e-catalog program targeting both businesses and consumers via e-mail transmissions containing dynamic product images linking to Zones.com.

Amazon.com Auctions is the premier destination for people to search for and discover great deals on their favorite collectibles, hard-to-find items, and other goods, such as computer products. The Auctions site will offer items in a safe and secure environment, with the buyers' experience backed by the Amazon.com Auctions Guarantee. The guarantee program sets a new online auction safety and security standard, by providing buyers up to $250 against misrepresentation or non-receipt of goods. Some restrictions apply; guarantee details are available by visiting the Amazon.com Auctions site.

Amazon.com is offering $10 gift certificates for all first-time winning bidders as an incentive to discover and purchase items at Amazon.com Auctions, including a wide assortment of CPU's, peripherals and accessories from Zones. At the same time, Zones will benefit from having Amazon.com Auctions automatically promoted on millions of Amazon.com's book, music, and video product pages.

What are we looking for Mex? Up or down? Japan now has a zero overnite bank rate, 2% mortgage rate, and it may not work. Why would you borrow money, even at zero %, for new equip for your factory that is running @ 60% capacity? The answer is maybe you borrow it and put it in the US markets, and maybe we are seeing some of this.
Maybe the currancy markets are heading for a trainwreck....again
