>>how do I italicize when quoting some ones post

Precede by < i > and follow by < /i > (without spaces).
In other words, the html begin/end tags.

SI recognizes a number fo these an translates them to
the real tags rather than text. Others are b (bold)
and pre for fixed-width text, surrounded by < > and </ >.

how do I italicize when quoting some ones post???

use i and /i inside these brackets < > for italics

<i*>italics</i*> <<<< just like that except no asteriks

b for bold

<b*> bold </b*> <<<< again take out the asteriks and the tags will work
