If I hear one more freakin media idiot cheapen Uconn's victory, I may begin to vomit prefusely. Uconn IS quicker, plays better defense, has the best all- around player, the best defensive player, clutch player, height, one-one play, do I have to go on? Uconn DID NOT play the perfect game. They missed free throws all night, shot their *normal* % from the field and played their "normal" defense* suffocating*. The straight up records favor Uconn[taking out that bogus Syracuse game], the comparative games favor Uconn, i.e St Johns, Michigan State, Fairfield and they do no *prey* upon the Mcdonald's all-America game for recruits. Why doesn't Duke just bring back Grant Hill because loading up on the *best* players did not get it done. Yes, I'm sure if ANY coach tried to assemble a "dream team" they'd win most of their games, but DOES not necessarily make them the best. Uconn proved that point by shoving it down Duke's putrid throat. This may be the first time I got thrills from seeing coach K's wife ball her eyes out like they were crowned kings. FCK YOU DUKE, all your players, your freakin mascot, and on down the line. You LOST!

In case anyone cares, the local media, more specifically WFAN radio in NY, has been saying that although UConn won and thus deserves to be called "national champions", had the two teams played 10 games, maybe UConn would have won twice (Mike) or four times (Chris). Of course the UConn fans are incensed and calling the station to complain vehemently saying the media was ignoring just how good UConn was this past season.

The UConn fans contend that UConn handily beat St. Johns whereas Duke needed overtime. That UConn handily defeated Michigan State, whereas Michigan State had a shot to tie Duke down the stretch in their only game. That UConn only lost when they were not "whole". The counter-argument is that the St. Johns games meant more to UConn, that the Michigan State game was during the tournament, and that Miami's shot so well that day they would have beaten anyone. Of course there are counter arguments to this and counter arguments to the counter arguments, etc.
