VRSN.. up 14 remember that even if you hold some of these through dips the ascents will outweigh the dips. I've held VRSN through thick and thin selling off chunks here and there, and currently holding only 200 shares. Sure there is risk but you don't have to chase it on gap ups and if you are down say 10 points you will ultimately be up over 50. I've been down 10 on VRSN (not from entry but from profits), down plenty on WEBT ( 12 from highest point of profit) and down from DRIV and even ABOV but ultimately they have been way up over my original entry point. And on the flip side, I sell the profitable larger positions (800 shares and more) without worry that I'm leaving profits on the table. There is always another trade just around the corner.

But I don't invest with emotion any longer because for the first time I really have a 'back up profession' that is finally earning double my trading portfolio, so I have gotten confidence and I'm not sure how much of the 'nets trading is due to that confidence. I can afford to hold WEBT and ABOV through dips, so I do understand other traders trepidations when one of them is down 5 points or so.
