Good Morning Everyone,

Todays story is quite touching, but the last 4 words are what is important.

On Your Marc...

Judy and Jim lost their son, Marc, over 15 years ago.
As many parents, Jim and Judy took for granted that both
their children would outlive them. One day, Marc's life was
taken suddenly by a very rare disease. There was no
indication that he was sick; therefore, Judy and Jim never
had the chance to say good-bye to their son and tell him how
much they loved him. They were completely devastated by the
loss of their son.
Many years later, Judy and Jim took a vacation to
Bermuda. There they saw a beautiful statue that they both
absolutely loved. The statue was of a little boy sitting on
a bench reading a book. Although they were both completely
drawn to the statue and wanted it dearly, it was too
expensive and they could not afford it. But Jim took note of
the artist's name and address anyway.
Many years later, Jim wanted to buy the statue for Judy
as a surprise for her 50th birthday. He sought out the
artist's studio but the clerk said there were only 10 of
those statues made in the world. The only chance of
purchasing one would be if the artist would give up his own
original. The artist personally contacted Jim and sadly
informed him that his wife would never part with the statue.
However, the artist did promise to try to locate some of the
other owners to see if they were willing to part with their
statue. Finally, he found a woman in England who was willing
to sell her statue to Jim.
On Judy's 50th birthday, Jim surprised her with the
statue that they fell in love with so many years before.
Judy was absolutely dumfounded. As they sat there admiring
the statue, they suddenly noticed something about the statue
that they hadn't noticed before. As they looked closely at
the book the little boy was reading, inscribed on the cover
were the words, "Book Marc." The second word was spelled M-
A-R-C, just as their son spelled his name. Although Judy and
Jim thought their little boy was gone forever, he managed to
convey his love to both his parents on his mother's 50th
birthday. Our physical bond is temporary. Only love is
eternal.
