vpelt, no this technology has nothing to do with retinal imaging, they are projecting on a screen. If they projected a 7 Watts laser on the retina, they'll punch a hole going all the way to the brain in less than a second.

Consider that looking directly at the sun you get about a milliwatt per square millimeter on the retina, and that is a little too much. If that laser beam had a diameter of 1 mm square, it would be like looking at a light having an intensity 7000 times greater than the sun.
