Joby - sorry you misunderstood my tone; I guess I misunderstood your message. I thought your reference to a telephone call to "IR" was to ALDN's internal investor relations office, not to an outside firm; that is, I thought you were talking directly to ALDN. I was only saying that neither company had filed anything with the SEC lately which might indicate officially whether they are up to something. Lack of such a filing usually indicates one of two things: nothing is going on OR something is going on but nobody inside is talking publicly. I went on to say that, until I knew whether the current silence resulted from the former or the latter, I, personally, would sit tight and listen for a sound indicating which was the case before making an investment decision. I characterized their behavior as curious, not strange, although either condition warrants further watching because companies often do not say anything when they are, indeed, up to something. But like you, I'm surprised you got no comment on things that, as prior posts here show, were public knowledge in formal year-end filings. My suggestions on why you didn't were ruminations, not explanations.

In sum, I think the two of us are arguing about whether we see the trunk of an elephant or an elephant's trunk, but there's no doubt we are looking at the front end of the same large, gray animal that certainly has some interesting characteristics (haha).
Regards,
Harry

Joby - Aha! Maybe this is the reason for the silence. I just went to WAVX's homepage and found, with a dateline of March 24th:

"Wave Systems Corp. (OTC BB: WAVX; wave.com) today announced it has raised approximately $23 million through the private placement to institutional, strategic and accredited individual investors of approximately 2.1 million shares of Class A Common Stock at $11.00 per share. Pacific Growth Equities, Inc. acted as sole placement agent for the private placement. Wave Systems intends to file an S-1 registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission to register the shares issued pursuant to the private placement. . . ."

The press release goes on a bit more. I presume that interested parties (which may include ALDN if it holds a relatively large stake in WAVX) are going to be reluctant to discuss their interests publicly until the S-1 is filed.

Regards and thanks for piquing my curiosity (or my strangeness, hahaha) as it caused me to go looking for an explanation. This one may do until the real one is announced.
Harry
