My new evening routine: come home, get comfortable and try over and over and over to get ETrade's useless, screwed up, now upgraded unmitigated piece of CRAP Level 2 program to try and load. Which it (%^&$() won't. AGAIN.

Advertise and entice new customers - even if the lack of capacity, customer service etc. can't begin to handle the existing demand. The model works for AOL - they get $21.95 for each and every customer - even if they can't/don't log on. ETrade only makes money if you can/do make trades. More customers doesn't necessarily mean more income. And if the active traders leave in disgust, all they'll have left is the newbies.
