Art,

If I read you correctly, Kodak is definitely missing the big picture by not giving the general public high rez digital photography capabilities. Myself, and maybe many other people, would like to do away with the traditional acetate technology and be able to keep photos of sentimental value in the highest digital format possible without going through analog intermediates. Acetate technology just doesn't keep forever undiminished unlike digital. Kodak has a large analog product infrastructure they know they can't abandon overnight. While I sympatize with their dilemma, they face extinction in the future if they don't embrace digital technology with more assertiveness and claim the market potential as theirs. This won't be the first time a king has been dethroned.
