I think the DVD drives are made by Matsushita/Panasonic but the decoder board is made by Creative, which also does all the bundling. Dunno how much the margin is on the raw (no decoder board) drive is getting but it's probably around 5-10% gross margin or so (compared to the 30% average on their products).

I think we are definitely in for a graphics slugfest. 3Dfx is on a spending spree advertising their chips - if you can't sell the product you can sell the sizzle, I suppose. A dangerous game for 3Dfx. Creaf is probably going to launch more than NVDA-based boards soon.

I am just as puzzled about the silence on the AURL suit.

Creaf should be doing stuff on its website. With the amount of traffic there they should be advertising the site like Yahoo or something, as a portal for digital entertainment. Sure sounds easy to remember soundblaster.com ... This could be spun off, and voila 300x PE!!! So much potential here.

Anybody hear about whisper numbers?
