The software issues of Iridium and Globalstar are very different. Iridium had the programming problem of verification and validation with the ground while switching calls from satellite to satellite via intersat links. This switching along with call hand-offs from bird to bird were very difficult. I doubt Globalstar will have anywhere near the same hurdles and problems as Iridium. I think their beta tests will allow them to correct any issues quickly. That said, I would still wait to buy the stock since the Iridium hangover will continue to pressure this stock lower in the coming months, regardless of any short term rally in the stock.
