I have no problem with the apparent similarity of existing companies. BII, in fact, is one of the select 17 (18 with yesterday's Priceline.com) who are 'Retail - Internet' compared with over 40 'Internet - Software' and nearly 30 'Internet - Content'. Conflict of interest considerations may apply to the lead dealer or dealers but not to the sub group. As to being another auction announcement, I think this is normal too. The electronic nature of the media makes it uniquely adaptable to the different variants of the auction process. I only hope BII use the occasion to raise big bucks. Then just watch the tier 1 boys swarming in.
