My take on the 50,300 share Form-T afterhours trade at 4:06PM is it's an MM closing the books for the day by selling out of XYBR. MMs ran the price up today by buying and made an easy profit on the sale.

MMs like to move the price thru the day by incrementally buying and holding, then selling and shorting. They make their money on snatching the 'spread'. It is very much frowned upon by their bosses to hold shares in anticipation of news. That's is not how MMs make their money (because it's risky), and a good way to be out looking for work.

It's also likely an MM may have accumulated to satisfy a customer order. The customer then made the afterhours purchase from the MM.

This is only my opinion. I'm still figuring this stuff out.

Shoe.
