So semi revenues are down 8.4% in 1998 and obviously doing MUCH worse in 1999 while the SOXX is up 40% since the beginning of 1998.

If oil or steel or some real industry ever posted these kind of numbers, the bottom would fall out. I guess it is a new pair of dimes for a glamorous, teflon-protected industry like semiconductors. <ggg>

Sectors that are way down need to understand that the way to get stock prices up is not by improving financial results....the most effective way is to hire paid shills to hype the action.
