Bass brothers, Rainwater, I like it. It will be L/T big...When I found out they were in Disney, way, way back, plus some oil things, I rode the wave, and it was a big one!
The big, private money usually knows the way....

Joe,

After reading 8Ks, I took your advise and sold all of WIRL and HARTQ. I'm sitting on a lot of cash, would like to hear your opinion on stock to buy tomorrow.

Best Regards,
Spy Hard

Value Plays: Lehman Brothers (LEH...59 3/4) & Verio (VRIO...46 1/8)

Brief: Lehman is engaged in global investment banking, raising capital through underwriting and placements, corporate finance services, merchant banking and securities/commodities trading.

Trading Points
With markets trading at or near record highs, no reason to expect brokerage group to experience slowdown as M&A, IPO and general trading activity remain brisk.
Earnings estimates on the rise over past 30 and 60-days.
Stock testing minor resistance at 60... Closing break of this ceiling would leave LEH poised for near- to intermediate-term run at 75-80 range.
LEH trading at only 10.7x estimated FY99 earnings, well below market multiple... Also trades at 1.5x trailing twelve months book value, a deep discount to rest of industry.

Brief: Verio is a national provider of Net connectivity and enhanced Internet services to small and medium sized businesses... Company owns and operates a national network providing a high bandwidth data transmission path.

Trading Points
Company's focus on niche small to medium sized businesses leaves it well positioned for strong future growth as segment remains underserved.
Stock exhibiting strong momentum in recent weeks on sizable jump in volume.
VRIO trades at a sizable discount to group on a price/sales basis... At little more than 8x sales, stock has plenty of upside left... In fact, wouldn't be surprised by double in next 12- to 18-months... That said, more conservative near- to intermediate-term target is 60.
