Subversive is anything the establishment doesn't like. Accordingly, as it sees fit, truth, justice and freedom can all be considered subversive. Not in the words, which are all noble aspirations, but in the attempt to realize them. As, I'm sure you realize, all these are subjective values and every government attempts to impose its version of each of them. There are no absolutes. The present struggle in Kosova is precisely a struggle over whose truth is the "real" truth --- the Serbs or the Albanians.
