*OT**** Because IT IS an American issue. It is in our best interest to have security, stability and control in Europe, not just in the best interest of the French, Germans and Brits. Look back at the history of the last two world wars and you'll see it clearly. When it comes to Europe, the U.S. cannot afford to be reactive isolationists. Each time we have the results have been disastrous. It's not about humanitarianism, it's about geopolitical pragmatism. Don't be naive.
