t2k, regarding the April expiration.

Q3 earnings will be released on the Monday following options expiration. It's a great method MSFT uses to ensure all those puts they sell expire worthless.

I am not convinced the April Calls have more upside than the Mays. I would hold off tomorrow on buying on a dip as I see the market moving sideways/down for a little while. Best to let some of that time premium wear off a bit. The only unknown here is this YHOO takeover of BCST. It may spark the NASDAQ tomorrow, but then it might only move the internet sector (like today).

Remember, the COMDEX show starts that Monday, Apirl 19th, the same day as earnings. I expect any selling on earnings may be short lived depending on the good news I hope to see coming out of the conference. I am thinking that Monday the 19th may be the day to dive into the May Calls if there is a selloff. Maybe Tuesday, I'm not so sure. A lot will depend on the earnings runup we get as we head towards options expiration.

On second thought. I think the major dip I am expecting over the next two weeks may be the perfect time. But I will focus on the May Calls as I don't think the runup to earnings will be as substantial as the runup post earnings announcement. I am expecting a very positive Q3 and a positive surprise out of the COMDEX show.

Boy, I need help!!!!!
