Equally important, no more important in the big picture, is that most of the northern mining areas are drying up. Kirkland Lake is done, Timmins has maybe a decade left with present known reserves, Iron ore closed in Wawa, Inmont closed at Shreiber and the list goes on. I have the privilege of periodically traveling the north with a member of my staff. If new discoveries are not found it will be tough on the local economies. Between pulp and paper, lumbering and mining Quebec & Northern Ontario draw most of their employment from these areas. These type of developments pump millions (maybe billions) into the economies of these regions. NWI's mine, when it comes on board will be good for the area. I like the north, I like the people up north and I would like to see things like this be successful. Sure it puts money in my pocket but don"t you also sense you maybe are participating in making history. i know I will be history should my wife check the stocks the next couple of days. NWI, I need a positive NR.
