HAVE WE LOST MORE THAN ONE STEALTH FIGHTER?
Neal Boortz

There are news reports ... not from the American mainstream press, mind you ... but reports nonetheless that the United States has lost much more than one F-117 Stealth Fighter in Yugoslavia. One source in Belgrade is reporting as many as 28 jets down. Montenegrin television showed footage of NATO aircraft being hit in the hills over the Montenegrin capital of Podgorica.

To believe that we have lost more than one jet fighter is to believe that the Clinton Administration would lie to us. Now they certainly wouldn't do that, would they?

ARE YOU STARTING TO THINK ABOUT THIS WAR THING A BIT MORE?

I know, I know. You don't want to talk about it. It's just too hard to understand and you are more worried about what's on the tube tonight.

O.K. We'll make this easy. I'll just list some random thoughts on the US/NATO action:

Clinton has no plan. He has never had a plan. Before the bombing started the Italian Prime Minister asked clinton what he would do if Milosevic did not back down after the bombs started to fall, and instead increased his ethnic cleansing operating against the Kosovars? Clinton had no answer. He just looked dumbly at his National Security Advisor, Samuel Berger. Berger looked at the prime minister and said "We'll continue the bombing." Now THAT'S a plan.
Former Sec. Of Defense and CIA Director james Schlesinger points out some interesting things. First --- remember Bosnia. In Bosnia the US bombed the Serbs because they wanted self-determination. Now we are bombing the Serbs because they are refusing to allow self-determination for the Kosovars.
Speaking of self-determination. Why can't I have a little self-determination when it comes to Social Security?
Also from Schlesinger: Milosevic is under far greater pressure to avoid giving control of Kosovo to the ethnic Albanians than Ho Chi Minh was to abandon his goal of absorbing South Vietnam. What does that tell you about an early end to this mess.
When you really think about it --- now that we have put American and NATO prestige on the line here – the only good way out is victory. Milosevic must be defeated and Kosovar liberated from it's Serbian oppressors. Anything less than that will trigger further problems of this nature.
We probably can't win a war against Milosevic --- not with television cameras around. If World War II was covered the way this would be covered --- or the way Viet Nam was covered – victory would not have been so certain. The American people don't react so well to having this thing brought into their living rooms.
When Clinton spoke to the American people on March 24th he said we were going to do this to "protect thousands of innocent people in Kosovo from a mounting military offensive." Five days later, after Milosevic actually intensified the military offensive against the Kosovars, presidential spokesperson Joe Lockhart said "We knew he was going to do this." Say what?
We may think that multiculturalism is all the rage here in the United States. The Serbs and ethnic Albanians evidently don't agree. We can't enforce our multiculturalist ideals on other nations with guns.
Clinton likes to compare Milosevic with Hitler. Does anyone out there really think that Milosevic is in control of an army that could overrun the whole of Europe?

CRUISE MISSILES – WEAPON OF CHOICE

We mentioned yesterday that the U.S. is running out of air-launched cruise missiles. None are being built at the present time and we have about 120 or so left. The next generation won't come off the production lines for about two years.

Yesterday the Air Force that it would convert 92 nuclear-tipped cruise missiles to conventional warheads. This will cost about $51 million and will require the approval of congress since our nuclear capability will be degraded.

Just another result of Clinton six-year program of reducing the size and effectiveness of the American military.
