<<I had made about a dozen losing trades in the last couple days.>> then stop. if you're out of synch, don't try and get even, just stop for a while, do something else, finish your taxes, go shopping, take a walk. really. you gotta be in cynch or you will get clobbered. susie, don't mean to pick on ya, we each have our style. mine has been to have a core portfolio of good stocks, and be more aggressive trading special situations. some people do well with stock in a down trend. i remain baffled, with the dow near 10,000, the nas near record territory, why more people don't just buy good stocks and hold them. if bottom fishing is working, then great, i know ron has had some very good success, but he puts a lot of energy into it, and is, usually, very disciplined about entries and exits. good luck. larry
