When do you find out if you were given any of the requested shares of Value America? The day before it trades... or the same day???? And what are the chances of getting any shares? Any Etrade account holders with IPO experience?????

with your IOI timestamp?>>

No, it is not the profile. It is is most likely the IOI timestamp. I am logged on and using the site constantly during market hours. However I cannot always sit in front of the monitor constantly during the usual IPO window of opportunity (5:00 pm EST - 10:30 pm EST). I am averaging between 100-125 trades every month. I don't see any evidence of Etrade taking into account the number of trades nor the amount of account in assigning shares. I have several friends who trade maybe 10 or 12 times totally a year get in on IPO. The funny thing is I told them about the IPO they got in on. They were simply lucky in the timing that they checked the current listing screen. They certainly didn't sit and constantly refresh screens like I did. Judging by the sheer number of IPOs Etrade has participated in, they are offering a valuable opportunity to the investors lucky enough to get in.

Their impressive list includes: ZDnet, Priceline.com, Pervasive, iVillage.com, Multex, Flashnet, Bottomline, Network Solutions, Transwsitch, Modem Media Poppe Tyson, Tetra Tech, Perotsystems, MarketWatch.com, Prg, Anesta,Concur, Xoom, eBay, Geocities, Bindview, Telebanc, Knight Trimark, Abgenix, SSC, Cognizant Tech, Bebe, NetGravity, TSI, ADS, Software AG, Carreker-Antinori, Combicnem, First Virtual, Sportsline, Barringer, AMCC and Etrade.
