Valueman and others:

Trying to find a silver lining in the current debacle,
what do you think I*/G* troubles are doing to ICOGF?
Are the current problems severe enough to force
the abandonment of some or all future satellite
constellations? Such a market rationalization
could be a major plus down the road.

This is to be contrasted with the huge market caps
awarded to WCOM/QWST/LVLT/GBLX and to a lesser extent
WMB/IIXC. They only encourage more fiber buildouts.
So, sooner or later there may well be a major
valuation realignment between satellite and fiber
companies. At least, I hope so.

Best regards,

Bernard Levy

<<Remember during the darkest days of LOR/G* post Zenit, when the market was crumbling as well, we did some calculations involving the value of the assets of Loral once we took out the value of G*? At that point, you could buy those assets below their conservatively estimated value. Well, there are more assets to count now, and the same calculations indicate that Loral ex-G* is valued even lower right now. Something to ponder.>>

Yes, I remember those days well and they don't seem that long ago. Everything at that point in time (market-wise) seemed to have the quality of being surreal. Thanks for the comments. I appreciate the information and conclusions you post, VMan. ...Tim
