Canadian stocks --- also affected by weakening exchange.

Over the last two yrs, the candian dollar has weakened quite a bit, which probably took about 10% of potential profits from long term holders.

If this quarter is good, it should be interesting to watch what happens to the stock.

Perhaps ATI is still relatively unknown to most american investors, in the TDFX & NVDA discussion pages, most people don't even realize that ATI sells about 4x the number of chips that these companies do.

Haven't heard about the settop (GI) product yet. Supposedly, the entire cable-based HDTV (1920x1090) thing has been delayed for a few months --- this is an industry wide thing. I'm still waiting for my cable company to announce support.

But if profits and market share continue to increase at this rate, it would be very hard for most astute investors in the chip sector to ignore this stock. Money talks.
