Speaking of Blue Moons.......a TECHRIDE factoid. Last night was a BLUE MOON. A Blue moon is when you have two full moons in a month. This is rare, thus the statement "once in a Blue Moon". Even rarer is what happened last night as this is a year when we will have two Blue Moons in a year. Sort of a 909er Blue Moon.
YEARS with two Blue Moons:
1885
1915
1961
1999
If you missed it you will have a bit of a wait for the next one: 2018.
BLUE
PS BLUE MOON is also when BLUE and his pals who lived in southern California in the 70's, "mooned" the passing trainloads of often shocked riders (never put a train near a beach!). This BLUE MOON unlike the rare lunar Blue Moon happened all the time.
