The National Post reports in its Thursday, April 1, edition that Dion Entertainment,
Bid.Com International and Dejour Mines fell dramatically on the Toronto Stock
Exchange yesterday. The National Post's Garry Marr writes in his Market Action
column that Dion lost $1.79 to close at $3.20. The run-up on Dion stock came
crashing down after the White Rock, B.C.-based company, which is planning an
on-line bingo site, dropped 35.9 per cent for the day. Dion touched a new 52-week
high of $6.35 in the morning and then fell. After the close Dion said it will apply for
a Nasdaq listing. On-line auctioneer Bid.Com International shed $2.40 to close at
$12.40, falling 16.2 per cent after reaching as high as $17.60 on Friday. Dejour
Mines retreated 26 cents to close at 69 cents. Dejour, which owns a 5 per cent
stake in Internet courier firm Internet.Documents.com, ran up to a 52-week high of
$1.07 then finished off down 26.5 per cent.
