SJS Re: (Gotta be window dressing.)
Hi SJS, I'm new to SI & new to trading stocks. May I ask you what benefit is a money manager looking for when they "window dress"? The implication is that they buy issues like EMC/AOL for the purpose showing the name as a holding, but unless they hold the stock thru the period in question, the portfolio does not derive the impact of that issue. I realize I have stated the obvious, yet this seems such a shallow practice. (would'nt be the first time<ggg>) Or am I missing something? thanks & best of luck in your investing. D.H.
