Steve -

Thanks for you discussion of options opening rotations. I think everyone learned something from it.

I have an options tax question that I have posted to a few other threads, but you probably know the answer:

Are OEX and SPX options considered 1256 contracts or are they treated the same as equity options for tax purposes?

Thanks,

David

After this discussion of the complexities in options trading, I'm almost embarrassed to ask this one. I own NTBK underlying and have covered all shares with Apr 65 calls. The stock has surged to 75+. I know exercise can come at any time, but it hasn't happened yet. Typically, in a situation like this, when can I expect to be exercised? TIA

Tom

Steve,

In terms of middle of the day trades, 5 contracts to buy, would it be faster if...

1. Limit order at ask
2. Market order
3. Stick with strike prices greater than $10 for auto-exec

Both the spreads and the sometimes slowness to execute and confrm really makes daytrading these things difficult
