Let me submit for consideration and/or ridicule, the proposition that TLAB has had time to heal from the debacle of CIEN. They're trading around 100 which give them a market cap up in the 20B range (I think) and desparately need to move away from the Telco plumbing business into advanced voice and data technologies like ATM.

I think they may be the second suitor for FORE.

They have partnered with FORE for a long time and I believe it would be a natural fit, more so than ERICY and they'd probably pay more.

Thoughts?

<LS1010 is IOS based now and the STRM products are tightly integrated>

funny, when was the last LS1010 contract that csco signed, imo, it's a dying product. And for STRM tight integration, imo, that's a joke. Today, one could not manage from a single management system to all STRM products and all CSCO Routers together.
FORE ASX4000 beats the hell out of all CSCO's ATM products. Just the signaling speed alone is more than 10 times better than CSCO. FORE is a fats moving Fararri and CSCO is the some moving typical mid-size car. MSFT did not deploy CSCO, why? because FORE is the best of the best. All imo.
