I don't have anything to tell you on AOL. I think the purchase of Broadcast.com will be viewed as positive. The merging of video broadcast media and web portals is happening and getting positioned now is a good thing. Content will become increasingly important. AOL may have gone up a lot very quickly but I would not look for it to pull back as much as many other stocks. I think there may be some selling before the weekend, just a guess. It will probably run into resistance when it tries to move above 152. I would not short AOL or AMZN unless you like to take on risk until it makes another few attempts at higher ground or the TA looks like it is in a downward trend. I think most of the upside potential has now been built into the stocks but they are not yet due for much of a correction. The war has not seemed to infect these stocks and perhaps has even helped them as money has flowed in to the US. But there is probably enough to worry about to cause some profit taking before the weekend. This is not a point where the TA is dramatically pointed one way or the other; the trend is still up but could easily be triggered downward a bit. The spring rally period is still in play.
