Very dumb question to all AMAT threaders:

Seems like the greatest chip growth over the next few years is in the area of communications. Duh. Companies such as Broadcom, PMC Sierra, Vitesse, etc.

Question is, does AMAT own the largest share of equipment to these communication chip makers?

I would assume AMAT does and will ride with whatever chip tide is rising over the next several years. Reason why it should be a core holding in any tech portfolio.

Is this a correct assumption? Thanks. KY
