Hi Bob,...Welcome aboard (SI, that is). I know you've been long on CCO for quite a while. Could we take out the old 52 week high of $4.50 before it expires? I think that is too optimistic, but perhaps the Appeals Court could come out with a decision within a month or two. The old high was set sometime in April of 1998 (the CCO@ quote is in error for the old high).
I still think that the State and CCO should come to some agreement to forego drilling with a cash payment and an extension of the lease time past the 2016 expiration. With a yearly payment to not drill, CCO would show some reliable earnings and have some working capital. The stock price would still be influenced by the potential value of the leases and that number could get very high over the next ten years.
