Wow. You are fast. I was just about to post the CNNfn article on insurance carriers debating whether to cover airline losses from Y2K. Good work.

I don't know how many times I have heard High Technology Titans say, in tones of dripping sarcasm, 'well, airplanes aren't going to fall out of the sky or anything'. Hey, I agree. They probably won't be flying at all.

And as to social and stock market disruption, the damage can be very great even if airplanes never fail. I keep saying, 'it's the uncertainty, stupid'. Insurance companies are in a tight place, as this article clearly shows. So is anyone who needs to have some idea what will actually happen during the transition to the year 2000.
