as I am reading your very interesting posts, yet another talking head on CNBC is saying how Asia is recovering. I have to wonder how many Asias are there?

Aside from all the other problems, Asia as a whole is going to have unbelievable unemployment this year. The article you linked is a great example of what they face in China, consistent with what I read in numerous publications. Japan is facing a double edged sword. If they do corporate reform a la USA, what is going to absorb the surplus labor. We benefited from the age of deregulation and technology explosion. I don't see anything that can be viewed as same for Japan.

High unemployment shuts off consumption. I wonder what are we going to export to markets that are not consuming.

May be I am overly pessimistic but I sure would appreciate the opportunity of asking some of these bullish analysts what exactly are they seeing to give them their optimistic opinions.
