<I understand that Fore is well protected from hostile takeover and their upper management simply has no interest in selling. < I don't think that the kind of sustained volume and price action in this stock would have been sustained the way that it has been, unless there were real discussions taking place. Unsubstantiated rumors would not be able to hold this up the way it has been going. Whether or not these will actually lead to an acquisition of FORE is anybody's guess. But, there is obviously something going on...

I think you have a point about FORE mgt not willing to sell up to this point. True enough, FORE coulda been taken out when it was trading at higher and/or lower prices than current trading. However, clearly FORE is minimally considering offers at this point. Otherwise, they'd be denying left and right that they're on the block. They're probably soliciting them. Course they could decide to delay any merger for the time being, much like NOVL does every time those rumors revive. -John
