PRINVEST TO FINANCE $7.4 MILLION IN NEW EQUIPMENT & SERVICE ORDERS

for Two Coyote Network Systems' Customers

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., April 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Coyote Network Systems (Nasdaq: CYOE) today announced that PrinVest Corporation has agreed to provide $7.4 million in new equipment and service financing to DTA/I:COMM Networks LLC and BD Communications Ltd. The financing arrangement covers four Coyote DSS Switches and related OEM equipment to support international long distance services.


About DTA/I:COMM Networks LLC
Located in Villa Park, IL, DTA/I:COMM Networks LLC is a newly
established joint venture entity that plans to provide international long distance services, primarily to Mexico and selected Caribbean countries. DTA/I:COMM Networks is comprised of DTA Communications Network, located in Villa Park, IL, and I:COMM Networks, located in San Antonio, TX. In October 1998, Coyote Network Systems announced it had signed a letter of intent to acquire a 19% equity position in DTA Communications Networks. As a result of the formation of DTA/I:COMM Networks, DTA and Coyote have now agreed to put their discussions on hold indefinitely.

BD Communications, Ltd., a New York-based company, is a spinoff of
