At this point, I suspect the way to 'rescue' the stock price is to drop CPUs completely, show Halla the door, and re-group from the ground up. patrick

Pravin, Re: StrongArm vs Gx etc. Yeah, the power is an advantage for mobile apps. But the real issue will be pricing. Intel's at $43 in 10K volumes for the 2 chip set. When real volumes hit these chip sets will need to be in $10-15 range. Even selling 20-30M such processors per year only yields $200-400M in sales at lousy margins. That's why the stock is tanking big time IMHO. They have basically given up the ghost in the volume desktop market and the GX is still not out in 0.18 micron or as a single chip - just the same basic 2 chip architecture for last 2 years. With 400 Mhz becoming the low end within 90 days- and such prices will likely drop to $60-$70 then it's tough to see MII 400's selling much above $50. And as AMD has the K-3 and 450 K6-2's to provide margin, AMD can segment National out of the larger OEM sockets. Frankly if the market dumps due to poor PC demand - I suspect that National could dump down to $7-8 range easily. I dumped most of my NSM at $10 1/2 a few weeks ago. I suspect that it will go lower-much lower unless the socket 370 super core with integrated 256K cache at 400-450Mhz appears on April 6th - but I am not holding my breath. I know you have been long for a while, and I suspect if you hold it should pop on the PCOAC BS. It may a good time to dump it then. Regards, Kash
