This stock is acting as it did about a month ago.
Opening nicely then selling off its high by the end of the day.
I went on vacation it was 96, came back in 2weeks,and it had hit 130.
Hope history repeats itself!

Good Luck

jhg;

nothing apparently out of line with what occurred. probably more sellers than buyers at your limit price. some were earlier in with their orders, or more aggresive.

jhg, consider it a blessing in disguise.

Think about the people who sold AOL early this month, more than 60 points ago. I sold a third of my AOL at 87. :-(

It should consolidate as it usually does after a sharp ramp, but in the end, there are too many factors in AOL's favor. Follow the smart money and it'll lead you to AOL. Less stress is best.

Consider it a blessing in disguise.

What fidelity said is correct. You just didn't get it to stay at your price long enough, although, come to think of it...you may not have gotten the $153, but certainly your order should have been executed at market....at whatever market was. A limit order simply allows a pre-set price to be plugged in. If it hits the pre-set price, your order is converted to a market order and executed at current market price...normally within 1/4 or less of your limit, except in the case of these quick movers. All I can think of is the ask hit 153, but the bid never did, thus your order did not execute.
