Pluvia, I would not be so ebulient yet. I hate being critical, but I must report some very disconcerting findings. The good news, I had one of my computers screens up in the FunPhone mode all day (I was experimenting with the new coherenter and directed some of my son's pop music at the screen through the coherenter I built), sending music over the internet to my son. It worked like a charm, but here is the bad news, about 10 minutes ago, the glass screen started to get into harmonic oscillations with an amplitude that was growing alarmingly (FunPhone even sent a message "Lower you Voice!"), within 5 minutes of the start of the harmonic oscillations, the screen blew up. That I lost an eye in the process, no big deal, another company is going to teach me stereoviewing with a single eye (they have developed a monoocular VRD that can provide for depth perception, run and buy the stock), but this incident demonstrates that FunPhone has not subjected their technology to the vagaries of wild consumers (such as I). Please, give your screen a rest every 30 minutes at least, do not talk in a monotonic monochromatic voice, and do not expose the screen to music unless it is Bach or Mozart (my guess is that the fifth of Beethoven will get screens screaming within the first three bars). Zeev PS, I am going to start a company shipping special anti harmonic oscillations dynamic sound absorbing pads that include a unique thixotropic material, when the sound level is acceptable and its frequency content is far from the eigenvlaues of the screen, sound is transmitted, but when the intensity increases and the spectral distribution narrows to be near said eigenvlaues, the thixotropic properties convert the pad to a sound absorbing medium. It is quite automatic.
