Now that we have had a decent correction, I suspect the 1Q earnings reports will not have much impact unless they are grossly out of line. These stocks did not rally on hopes of improved 1Q (or even 2Q) earnings or day rates. Oil and gas price trends and expectations of same will be the key factors influencing the OSX in the weeks ahead IMHO

Natural gas prices may provide an unexpected kicker to drilling. Up to around $2.10 which, all things considered, is an excellent price, especially since it has been showing good upwards movement for some time now.
