It sounds like your bios settings have changed and the system is expecting to boot from the Jaz drive. You may want to examine your bios settings....not sure what you should change as the setups are so variable from system to system. Doesn't sound like a drive problem.

I think Frank is right. Sounds like a BIOS issue. If you are not booting from a SCSI drive attached to the Adaptec card I would suggest that you disable the Adaptec BIOS. That will prevent the system from looking for bootable devices on the SCSI chain.

I can offer several other suggestions, depending upon your configuration.
