It was the harshness of the views. Bolt glorifies More to such an extent that More seems almost to gently disagree with the reformers. My son has read quite a bit about More, and (I may be wrong here) likely read about him with Bolt's image of him in mind. My son seems to have experienced a minor disillusionment concerning More. He yet respects him, as well he should.
