FFTI - Anatomy of a low-priced "Earnings Play"

FFTI was on the calendar last Friday 26 of March. It began to show volume and price increase (see chart) quickly

FFTI.. from March 26. Note the increase in volume

A strong rearnings reports (which I posted) followed on March 30.
Stock has now climbed from 9 1/2 to 11.375. Looking at both the historical prices and chart you can see that 26th would have been a signal when the price closed at 100% of total daily range 26th ($10) for FFTI or secondary entry would have been with the morning gap on 30th. Here you could have gotten a point instead of the 2 points had you entered on 30th instead of 26th or the 29th.

What happens now? On April 2, FFTI was upgraded to a "BUY" and should provide further gains especially since it has pulled back from the 11.375 week high. Remember earnings plays are more 'hit 'n run' plays and are target is the 5% profit on the trade. Holding through earnings, after earnings as an intermediate hold is the 'extra bonus' and you could make 25% to 50% more in the short/intermediate term phase of this stock or any other that beats the street.

''Yet again we are reporting a record fourth quarter and full year performance. Earnings and revenues were again ahead of our targets, reflecting the strong internal
growth of both our service and product businesses as well as the impact of acquisitions. Service revenues in the fourth quarter grew substantially and were higher than
the total combined service and product revenues achieved in the preceding quarter
