Sugen Inc. (NASD symbol: SUGN) should gain National Exposure this Sunday on the
CBS news magazine 60
Minutes. The encouraging results of SUGN's cancer study, conducted at UCLA's
Jonsson Cancer Center - will be
the subject of a rare two-piece segment for 60 Minutes this Sunday, April 4. Sugen is
attempting to fight tumors by
starving them to death by cutting off their blood supply - a process know as
Angiogenesis. It is notable that while
other angiogenesis inhibitor studies have generated attention for the effects on mice,
SUGN's encouraging results
were obtained in Human patients.
